Lir Chocolates: The Girl Boss Chocolate Company

I feel like Easter is often a little bit overlooked when it comes to holidays. Of course, Christmas is the big one but other holidays like Halloween and Valentine's Day are certainly up there too. But Easter seems to never get that same level of hype - despite the fact that it is basically a holiday where you are obliged to eat as much chocolate as humanly possible.

This being said, I love Easter. I love how it signals the move out of the freezing temperatures of winter and brings us ever closer to the long summer days spent at the beach or BBQing everything in sight. And I love the chocolate, of course.

This year, the lovely people at Lir Chocolates sent us over an egg to try and it looks pretty fancy. It is decorated with colourful flecks across it and has four different chocolates that accompany it - all in unusual and exciting flavours. Naturally, this is a pretty amazing egg but there's something that makes Lir Chocolates even sweeter.

Lir Chocolates are a total girl boss company. They have two female founders, a female MD, and a female master chocolatier (um, where do I apply for this role pls?). I absolutely love supporting a company like Lir because they have such gender diversity across the board and they are ethically minded as well. They source their cocoa respectfully and carefully and work closely with ethical sourcing boards to ensure everything is above board.

So, this Easter, consider giving Lir a go! They sell their eggs in Tesco for £12 and be sure to keep your eyes on my insta for an honest review of the egg come Sunday (if it survives that long!).

Do you have any Easter traditions?
