I Opened An Online Shop!

Opening an online shop has been something I have wanted to do for a while now and I am happy that I have finally got around to it.
I am selling on Etsy and I am specialising in selling antiques but I think I'll end up just selling a real mixture of everything that I think is nice so you'll never know what you could find there.
Although I have only listed four items so far, I am going out today to get more stock and hopefully my shop will soon be very well stocked.

In all honesty, my ideal world would be if I could be a blogger and an antique dealer and just make enough to live off of from the two of those. I have always had a passion for writing and for antiques and, I think, that's really all we want - to do something we are passionate about.

I thought I would show you what I have listed over on my shop as I think the items that I found to sell are really quite interesting.

And you can check out my shop HERE

Admittedly, this calendar has been sitting around in my room for quite some time now. I was immediately drawn to the picture as I think it is really beautiful and I like the border around the picture especially. Also I found it interesting that the pages of the calendar are still intact.

When I saw these boxes, I thought they were so unusual as I hadn't seen any similar before. They are kinda Russian doll style in that they pack into each other and I think they would look so pretty filled with little trinkets and jewellery.

When I saw this item, I knew that I had to have it. I think that the rose shape is absolutely beautiful and it is lined with navy blue velvet. I really like how decorative and pretty this piece is.

I found this in a shop adjoined to a reclamation yard. The shop was a real treasure trove but it was also in quite a mess so getting to the good items proved to be quite a challenge.
I was drawn to this as they had a shelf full of them and they reminded me of the wand shop in Harry Potter. Unfortunately, the others weren't in great condition so I just went with this one as it was in the best condition of the lot.
From what I have been told, these piano rolls were put into hand operated pianos and the pianos then played the music by the markings on the sheet.
This one is from 1891 and, in all honesty, I am always shocked when something made from something as breakable as paper lasts so long.

Garden Centres, Watermelon, and a Little Pig

Admittedly, this post is going to be a bit of a hodge-podge of everything that I have been up to lately.
Before we headed off to London for the Harry Potter Studios Tour (posts to follow), my auntie, uncle, sister, and I had a very nice couple of days doing a variety of things which I have reduced down to 2 days of garden centres, watermelon, and a little pig. Not a typical few days by anyone's standard then.

Whilst my sister and I stayed at my auntie's house, she bought us some watermelon to eat for breakfast. As you may have guessed, I am absolute fiend for watermelon so I ended up eating quite a lot of it.

As my auntie works as an antique dealer, she often gets a lot of cute things coming into her house but these little toys are something else. The little pig is absolutely adorable and they all look so lovely together.

I also rediscovered this old Topshop dress I had lying in the back of my wardrobe. I absolutely love the colour of it and I am happy to be wearing it again. Admittedly, I should have made an effort to wear it with tights but leggings are just so much easier and comfier.

We went out for lunch all together at St John's Garden Centre in Barnstaple and the food was absolutely delicious. I got Fentiman's Rose Lemonade as I liked the packaging and the pink colour and the lemonade was actually delicious. I had their Victorian Lemonade before and I wasn't a fan as I found it bitter but this is definitely a better alternative. Then, food-wise, I had the BBQ Chicken Panini which came with crisps, a salsa, and salad with a delicious dressing. After that I was absolutely stuffed but the cakes all looked so nice so I would have liked to have tried one of those.
My sister got Jungle Wedges which were apparently really nice and my uncle got fish and chips (in all honesty, I'm not sure why he has a leaf on his face, haha).

We then looked around the garden centre and I was very tempted to buy a cactus. They just look so cool - especially the colourful ones.

We then went into their 'jungle' bit which was very pretty and I saw a lot more cacti - although these were slightly bigger than the ones for sale. Also my uncle's jumper blended in well with the flowers which I found funny.

We then just mooched around for a bit and I found some really nice cushions that I wanted to purchase but I didn't.

However, I did purchase these gorgeous shoes from the M&S Outlet shop for just £9. They are a little bit big but I think they look so cute so I had to have them.

I Got That Good Girl Faith And A Tight Little Skirt

I got this skirt from for the costly sum of £3. I mean, how could I pass it up?
I really like the colour and the pattern of the skirt. Admittedly, I don't tend to wear skirts like this as I'm a bit too shy to wear anything this short or fitted but it is always good to try something new, right?

Skirt: (HERE)
Top: Topshop (old)
Shoes: M&S
Jacket: Primark via eBay
Tights: Primark
Also apologies for two outfit posts in a row. I am currently writing up a few lifestyle posts (including the Harry Potter Studio Tour one!) so this is all I have to post in the mean time.

Don't Stop Teal You Get Enough

I recently bought this dress from as I loved this teal colour and the print. Although it is a little on the short side of what I would normally wear, I think that it is ok with tights. I think I will definitely be getting a lot of wear out of this dress.
Also, please excuse any flailing limbs in these photos. My sister was still in bed - despite it being about midday.

Dress: (HERE)
Jacket: Primark via eBay
Shoes: M&S
Tights: Primark
Also by the time you read this, I will probably be on my way to London on a trip to go to the Harry Potter Studios which you will definitely be hearing more about once I am back.
If you need to get in touch, feel free to tweet or email me. Even if you don't, it's always nice to have a chat.
